Group Therapy for Teens and Tweens San Francisco

Clinical Groups for Tweens + Teens

Evidence-Based Skills. Authentic Connection.

Our middle and high school groups bring the same research-backed tools we use in individual therapy—like emotional awareness, self-regulation, and self-compassion—into a supportive, collaborative setting.

These state-of-the-art programs offer students a unique space to build practical skills, find community, connect with peers and grow resilience.

About Our Clinical Groups

Our clinical groups are led by licensed clinicians and experienced support staff, with a high staff-to-student ratio. Groups are in-person at our San Francisco & Mill Valley locations.

Our current tween/teen clinical group offerings include:

  • Vibe & Thrive: Social Skills for Success for Middle Schoolers (formerly known as Navigating Social Dynamics) is designed to empower participants to navigate social complexities with confidence. Through discussion and skill-building, we help students understand the mechanics of friendship and the importance of healthy boundaries.

    Participants explore how to:

    • Build & Sustain Friendships: Tips for making new friends and maintaining healthy, lasting connections.

    • Navigate Conflict: Techniques for mending relationships and improving communication when things go wrong.

    • Set Boundaries: Practical tools for creating and upholding personal boundaries.

    • Manage Social Stress: Strategies to handle the anxiety that often accompanies social interactions.

Our goal is to help every student build the resilience and self-esteem they need to thrive in their social world.

Cost per Session

Cost depends on the number of sessions and duration of each session.  Our coordinator will provide you with information regarding fees during an initial screening call.  We do not accept health insurance directly, although we are happy to supply families with documentation necessary for reimbursement by PPO health insurance or medical flexible spending or health savings accounts.

As the result of the 2022 No Surprises Act, please be aware that you have the right to receive a good faith estimate of healthcare treatment costs.  Your Good Faith Estimate will be uploaded to your client portal at the time that you schedule an initial appointment.  However, you can ask our intake coordinator or your provider for this estimate before you schedule a service or at any other time during treatment.  If you receive a bill over $400 more than your good faith estimate, you can dispute the bill.  For more information regarding the good faith estimate and/or dispute process, see your good faith estimate or visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
